David Cohen is the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Reinvent Capital, an investment firm co-founded by Mark Pincus, Reid Hoffman and Michael Thompson. David helped form Reinvent Capital in 2018 as part of the founding team.
David is active in metaverse, Web3 and digital asset entrepreneurship, investing and regulatory compliance. His other areas of expertise include Venture Capital at Scale, public and private technology investing, special situation investing, mergers and acquisitions, complex public and private corporate and securities transactions, asset management and reinventions.
Prior to Reinvent, David served as Associate General Counsel of Zynga and led the legal team responsible for mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities and finance matters. He began his career in private legal practice, most recently as Senior Counsel in Proskauer’s corporate and private equity groups.
David received an A.B. from Middlebury College and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
